the day haruki left quito with his motorbike for guayaquil (to go to galapagos, so jealous!!), he made a stop in latacunga. we planned to meet at 5 on the main square. but around 2 hours earlier, we met by chance in the supermarket. that shows how big this town is :-) during our quick sightseeing-tour, i met 5 other people i knew from school. i felt like in liebensberg, at home.
you have to cross this bridge to come from the bus stop to the old town.
streets of latacunga
santo domingo, main church of latacunga
we had chocolate-coated fruit!! i felt like at albani-fest in winterthur :-)
street market
those were alive!! they're for some healing of arthrithis or anything. get well soon!
wherever you watch, there are mountains. when they're not covered with clouds.
pretty sunset with some church
beautiful sunset over latacunga
sort of the main park in town
at the end of the day, we went to the best pizzeria in town! and we ordered a bit too much. i had spaghetti and pizza, haruki had salad and spaghetti. well, we didn't eat up..
oh, and by the way. to do this nails (it's hand-painted flowers, not stickers!), you pay $ 1.25.
