easter-weekend back in quito

 finally, after living one month in quito, when i went back there for easter holiday, i made it up to the panecillo to enjoy the view over the city.

 the metal virgin on top of the hill which you can see from almost every spot in quito.

 view over old town, in the middle the basilica.

 some touristy shops :-)

 well, i didn't eat there..

 after having gone to the hill, we went to the church "san francisco" in the middle of old town.

 that's it from the outside. on the right, there's the entrance to some museum. we weren't actually interested in the museum, but we wanted to see the pretty garden :-)

 there were 3 really cool parrots!

 one went for a walk on the hedge..

 ..while the other two were fighting!

 sometimes,when we (the people) were laughing, they startet to imitate our laughter!

that's the really nice garden we paid the museum entrance for :-)
